September 2023
- ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: We will again be test blind for admission purposes – reviewing admission applications based solely on a student’s high school unweighted GPA. We will continue to use ACT/SAT composite scores and unweighted high school GPA to determine scholarship eligibility. Students will be unconditionally accepted with a 2.5+ GPA (2.0 – 2.49 will be accepted conditionally).
- FREE ONLINE APPLICATION: In addition to our traditional online application, we are excited to announce we are now on the Common App! Students can apply at www.moreheadstate.edu/apply
or https://www.commonapp.org/ explore/morehead-state- university. We will continue to offer a free application, and only request HS transcripts for processing.
- SCHOLARSHIPS: At this time, we will continue to require ACT and unweighted GPA for our institutional, merit-based scholarships (Dean’s Scholar, KY Scholar, Commonwealth, etc.) These are “automatic” meaning students simply need to meet the criteria to receive the award. Furthermore, students will have until the first day of Aug 2024 to meet ACT/GPA requirements. Once I receive the updated scholarship piece, I will email it to all of you. More information can be found at https://www.moreheadstate.
