Murray State University January Update

 Happy New Year!


I hope you all had a restful winter break and that you have an amazing start to your spring semester -- as we begin the second half of the school year, I wanted to send you all some updates that you and your students may find helpful!

  • Racer Nation Orientation registration opened , January 13th
  • Our General Scholarship Application closes in less than one month -- Monday, February 2nd!
  • Racer Day will be here before we know it -- we would love to welcome your juniors who have shown interest or your seniors who are making their final decisions on Wednesday, March 25th!
  • While the Housing Application and FAFSA have no specific deadline, I would recommend students working on these applications sooner rather than later. 
  • Finally, we have several unique events coming up for your admitted students!
    • We will also be hosting various Admitted Student Events that include Racer Basketball games and All Campus Sing -- these style of events give your students an exciting experience of student life on campus!

Our   First Time Freshman Guide   also details step-by-step information about any incoming first year student’s next steps.   Scholarship and Housing Applications are Open for the Fall 2023 Semester Students who are admitted as degree-seeking students or current Murray State students can access their General Scholarship Application and their Housing Application by logging into their   myGate account .   . Hello counselors and greetings from the University of Kentucky!  September is an exciting month for the University of Kentucky! We have some key updates to share from our campus:   ADMISSION We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve begun sending out admission decisions for students who have completed their applications. If your student’s application is fully submitted and meets our criteria, they can receive your admission decision in as little as two weeks. We operate on a rolling basis throughout the year. Accepted students will receive electronic notification through their applicant portal, followed by an admission packet in the mail.
