SEMO Update August 2022

 

Greetings from your friends at SEMO!

We hope you are doing well and have enjoyed a wonderful summer. It is hard to believe we are gearing up for yet another school year! We have lots of news to share as your students start the college search process. 😊

SEMO has undergone months of extensive research to align our programs with industry and employer needs. With over 145 majors to choose from, we are proud to say that we are successfully preparing your students for careers of the future.   

 

We are gearing up to celebrate our 150th birthday on March 22, 2023! Since 1873, SEMO has been providing exceptional educational opportunities and launching extraordinary careers. Our students are driven and committed, and it is time to celebrate! Events and activities will kick-off on our birthday and run all year long, culminating in the next Great American Eclipse on April 8, 2024. We can’t wait!

Show Me Day is our premier Saturday open house! / Oct. 1 / Nov. 12 / Mar. 25

Visit Friday is perfect if you can’t join us on a Saturday! / Oct. 21 / Dec. 9 / Mar. 10 / Apr. 21

Campus Tours are offered Monday through Saturday most weeks!

$0 Application Fee!

            We are excited to continue offering no application fee for Fall 2023.

            Application is live now! semo.edu/apply

Self-Reported Academic Record!

Your students can simply self-report their academic record to automatically be considered for admission and scholarships.

Test Optional!

No ACT/SAT test scores required for admission with a 2.75 cumulative GPA.

Expanded test optional scholarships.

Superscore Test Scores!

We are continuing to use your student’s superscore for admission and scholarships.

December 1st Deadline!

            Encourage your students to submit ALL college applications by December 1st.

We are excited to have several new admission counselors joining our phenomenal team and they will be reaching out to you soon to schedule high school visits. Here’s to a great year!

Our   First Time Freshman Guide   also details step-by-step information about any incoming first year student’s next steps. Any student who was admitted to the University of Louisville without test scores on file or who does not meet the minimum math and/or reading requirements for their academic program may need to take the   Accuplacer . The Accuplacer is a course placement test given by the College Board that academic advisors will use to place the student into a math or English course.   . Hello counselors and greetings from the University of Kentucky!  September is an exciting month for the University of Kentucky! We have some key updates to share from our campus:   ADMISSION We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve begun sending out admission decisions for students who have completed their applications. If your student’s application is fully submitted and meets our criteria, they can receive your admission decision in as little as two weeks. We operate on a rolling basis throughout the year. Accepted students will receive electronic notification through their applicant portal, followed by an admission packet in the mail.
