MSU - New for Scholarship

Here is what is new for scholarships for 2023:
-Students will be able to earn up to $5000 a year on our Academic Achievement Grid without a test score
-This scholarship reward is renewable each year for up to four years or the student's first bachelor degree.  They must maintain at least a 2.75 GPA or above
-Test scores will still be a factor in our two top tier Academic Achievement Scholarships and our competitive scholarships 
-Any student participating in GSP, GSA, or GSE and has a 3.5 GPA and a 25 ACT will receive full tuition

Our   First Time Freshman Guide   also details step-by-step information about any incoming first year student’s next steps. Any student who was admitted to the University of Louisville without test scores on file or who does not meet the minimum math and/or reading requirements for their academic program may need to take the   Accuplacer . The Accuplacer is a course placement test given by the College Board that academic advisors will use to place the student into a math or English course. As a reminder, UofL does not accept KYOTE scores to be used for course placement, and KYOTE scores will not replace a student’s Accuplacer requirements.   Scholarship and Housing Applications are Open for the Fall 2023 Semester Students who are admitted as degree-seeking students or current Murray State students can access their General Scholarship Application and their Housing Application by logging into their   myGate account .   . Hello counselors and greetings from the University of Kentucky!  September is an exciting month for the University of Kentucky! We have some key updates to share from our campus:   ADMISSION We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve begun sending out admission decisions for students who have completed their applications. If your student’s application is fully submitted and meets our criteria, they can receive your admission decision in as little as two weeks. We operate on a rolling basis throughout the year. Accepted students will receive electronic notification through their applicant portal, followed by an admission packet in the mail.
