UK College of Engineering @ Paducah Year End Notes
Congratulations, Class of 2024!
The University of Kentucky Pigman College of Engineering Paducah Campus hosted its 2024 Graduate Recognition and Order of the Engineer Induction Ceremonies on May 2nd at West Kentucky Community and Technical College’s (WKCTC) Clemens Fine Arts Center. The audience – made up of elected officials, leaders from the UK Lexington campus and partner institution WKCTC, members of the Paducah Engineering Advisory Committee, faculty, staff, students, and friends – saw 24 graduates recognized and inducted into the Order of the Engineers. In addition to special awards for outstanding graduating students, awards were also presented to outstanding students at the freshman, sophomore, and junior levels. Dr. Charles Lu, H. E. Katterjohn Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Paducah Campus, was assisted by faculty and staff as he led the program.
Mr. John A. Williams, Sr., Founder and Chair
Emeritus of CSI, served as keynote speaker for the graduate
recognition ceremony. He shared his expertise and wisdom by
offering tips for the graduates to follow in their professional
and personal lives as they embark upon their careers.
Student speakers from the graduating class were Evan
Bremmerkamp and Benjamin Fulgham. Each reflected on the
journey to graduation in the remarks shared with their fellow
graduates.
The 2024 graduating class
joins more than 500 other
graduates who have
completed their studies at
the Paducah Campus
since its inception in 1998.

24 New Engineers Inducted
The Order of the Engineer Induction Ceremony was held immediately prior to the graduation ceremony on May 2. Each of the 24 inductees was presented with the “Engineering Ring,” a stainless steel ring which is a symbol of the professional engineer. The ceremony was conducted by an organization known as “Link of Order of Engineer.” Link of Order of Engineer at UK Paducah is one of only five
Links in the State of Kentucky. Dr. Jeff Seay, PJC
Professor of Chemical Engineering at UK Paducah,
