Transylvania Sept Update

I'm Julie Sams, Director of Admissions at Transylvania University,  and I'm excited to reconnect with you this year!

At Transy, we've been busy over the summer, and I'd like to share some updates. From degree options to athletic offerings, we're committed to providing a transformative liberal arts education that prepares students for success in an ever-changing world.

Important Updates to Know

1️⃣
 Accelerate: Transy's 3-year degree option

Incoming students at Transylvania University can now embark on a faster path to graduation with the launch of Accelerate.

This initiative allows motivated students to complete their degrees in just three years. Accelerate is ideal for students who are eager to graduate sooner and enter the workforce or pursue further education.

The program recognizes prior college-level achievements, including dual credit courses, alongside AP and IB credits. This ensures students receive credit for past learning, allowing them to progress on a compressed timeline. [See More]

2️⃣ Slate.org is Now Available!

Good news! If you are a Slate.org user, you will now be able to see Transylvania amongst the schools  where you can see application and admissions statuses. [See More]

3️⃣ Fall Preview Day on September 13 and October 19

We invite you  to join us on Sept. 13 or Oct. 19 for our Fall Preview Day. This event provides a firsthand glimpse into our campus life, academic programs, and vibrant community. It's an excellent opportunity for prospective students to engage with faculty, staff, and current students. Registration is available for both dates.

4️⃣ Transy Stunt added to athletic offerings for 2025-26 season

Transy is proud to announce the launch of a new stunt program within the athletic department. The team is set to make their debut season in the 25-26 academic year. Stunt is a head to head game broken down into four quarters; that is performed by two teams who carry out skilled based routines in a variety of different categories. Teams participate in: partner stunts, jumps and tumbling, pyramids and tosses and team routines. [See More]

If you are a student-athlete interested in being recruited, please complete the Prospective Student Athlete Questionnaire.
