Our General Scholarship Application for 2026-2027 Presidential Fellowship consideration is due Monday, December 1st! A student must be admitted to Murray State, as well as have their official transcript and test scores sent to our Admissions Office (msu.admissions@murraystate.edu) in order to be considered. Our Presidential Fellowship is a prestigious award that covers the cost of tuition, on-campus housing (at the double-occupancy rate), and a meal plan! More information about this scholarship, including GPA & test score requirements and the selection process as a whole, is located on our Scholarships for First-Year Students website, but if you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!

We had an AMAZING time welcoming so many students to campus on our Racer Day we hosted a couple Saturdays ago! This is always a great way for us to reconnect with students, but also show them all the wonderful things being a Racer has to offer -- it always makes me very happy to see familiar faces from high school fairs and visits!! We have an additional Racer Day coming up in the spring on Wednesday, March 26th, which would be an excellent event for your seniors still making decisions, as well as your underclassmen too!   • Register your myGate account (student portal) and Racer Mail email account. 
    • You will be looking for an email sent from "msu.rapididentity@murraystate.edu" with information about "Claiming Your Account." If you have any issues you can reach out to our Service Desk at 270-809-2346.
  • Apply for Competitive Scholarships (located in myGate) 
    • Presidential Fellowship Deadline - Monday, December 1st, 2025
    • General Scholarship Deadline - Monday, February 2nd, 2026
  • Apply for Housing (located in myGate) - NOW OPEN!
  • Register for Racer Nation Orientation - Opens in January!
  • Schedule a Campus Visit
    • Sign up for Racer Day - Wednesday, March 25th, 2026
  • Complete your FAFSA - NOW OPEN!

  . Hello counselors and greetings from the University of Kentucky!  September is an exciting month for the University of Kentucky! We have some key updates to share from our campus:   ADMISSION We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve begun sending out admission decisions for students who have completed their applications. If your student’s application is fully submitted and meets our criteria, they can receive your admission decision in as little as two weeks. We operate on a rolling basis throughout the year. Accepted students will receive electronic notification through their applicant portal, followed by an admission packet in the mail.
