UT Martin
Here are some UT Martin updates related to Fall 2021, including details about our free admissions application period, test-flexible admission, and virtual visits.
- Admissions Counselor Virtual Meetings: Students can up a one-on-one meetings with me around their schedules. They sign up through this link: https://calendly.com/utmbarrett.
- Bilingual (Spanish) Admissions Support: For students and/or families who would be better served by a staff member who speaks both English and Spanish, Nancy Sanchez, Bilingual Admissions Coordinator, is available. Nancy’s email is nanche5@utm.edu, and appointments can be made through this link: https://calendly.com/utmnancy
- Requesting UTM Information: For students who are interested in UT Martin, please have them complete the online form at www.utm.edu/request so we can provide them with the most up-to-date information! Any student in high school can complete the form to start receiving updates from us that pertain to them.
- Test-Flexible Admissions: For Fall 2021, we will admit students to UT Martin without ACT scores if they have at least a 3.0 weighted GPA. We know that many of your students have not taken the ACT or SAT yet due to COVD-19-related cancelations, and we do not want to hold up their admissions processes. An ACT or SAT score will be required for students to be eligible for merit scholarships and prior to enrollment for course placement. We start awarding scholarships November 1, and we anticipate students will have taken it prior to that. Here is the full press release.
· Campus Tours: We are offering in-person tours with limited numbers and also continuing to offer virtual tours. Students can sign up for in-person and virtual visits at www.utm.edu/tour.
- Virtual Preview Days: Our Preview Days will be happening virtually this year and provide excellent opportunities to connect with our faculty and learn more about UT Martin. The events will be held on Saturday, October 3 and Saturday, November 7. More information is available online.
- COVID-19 Updates: Our UT Martin web site is updated daily with our active COVID-19 cases, and detailed information about our reentry plan is available at www.utm.edu/corona.
Thank you for all you do! Please let us know how we can serve you and your students this year.
Go Skyhawks!
