Spring Visit Opportunities

 

Hello from the University of Louisville,

Spring is a beautiful time to visit campus! Here are some opportunities for your students to tour UofL and learn more about what awaits them as members of our Cardinal Family. 

Freshmen & Sophomores

Think College Now: This program is geared toward Black/African-American, Latinx and/or first-generation students who are currently high school freshmen and sophomores. This event is designed to help students prepare for college and college selection - no matter where they decide to attend! Students can visit UofL on Saturday, April 9 to attend workshops, receive a complimentary meal for themselves and one guest, and more. We will send more information about this exciting program soon!

Juniors

Campus Visit Program: Our campus visit program includes an admissions presentation, a student-led walking tour of campus, a lunch voucher, a discount at the Campus Bookstore, and free parking! Visits are offered twice a day, Monday-Saturday. Our campus visit program will be unavailable during UofL's Spring Break, March 12-19.

Seniors
Pop-in Tours: Students who need one last look at campus before making their decision, meet one-on-one with Admissions or Financial Aid, or check out a future residence hall can stop by campus for a Pop-in Tour Monday-Friday! We even have a 3 p.m. EST time slot for after-school visits. Pop-in Tours will be unavailable during UofL's Spring Break, March 12-19.

On-Campus, Self-Guided Tour: UofL has a new way to explore campus! Visitors can use their mobile device to take a (virtually) guided on-campus tour. Stop by the Office of Admissions to begin your exploration! This is a great option for visitors who would like to check out the campus the week of March 12-19, during our Campus Visit Program hiatus. 

Admitted Student Day: Whether your student is ready to celebrate coming to UofL, or needs a final look to make their decision, we hope they will join us on Saturday, March 26 for Admitted Student Day. Students will hear from current students and faculty, learn more about student life and academic programs, complete important pre-orientation tasks, and meet future classmates.

As  students begin to finalize their college choice and look towards next steps, we want to remind students that they will be able to find all of their next steps in their   New Cards Gateway . Our   First Time Freshman Guide   also details step-by-step information about any incoming first year student’s next steps. Any student who was admitted to the University of Louisville without test scores on file or who does not meet the minimum math and/or reading requirements for their academic program may need to take the   Accuplacer . The Accuplacer is a course placement test given by the College Board that academic advisors will use to place the student into a math or English course. As a reminder, UofL does not accept KYOTE scores to be used for course placement, and KYOTE scores will not replace a student’s Accuplacer requirements.   . Hello counselors and greetings from the University of Kentucky!  September is an exciting month for the University of Kentucky! We have some key updates to share from our campus:   ADMISSION We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve begun sending out admission decisions for students who have completed their applications. If your student’s application is fully submitted and meets our criteria, they can receive your admission decision in as little as two weeks. We operate on a rolling basis throughout the year. Accepted students will receive electronic notification through their applicant portal, followed by an admission packet in the mail.
