  Greetings from the University of Louisville! As you begin to finalize your college choice and look towards next steps, we want to remind you that students will be able to find all of their next steps in their  New Cards Gateway . Our  First Time Freshman Guide  also details step-by-step information about any incoming first year student’s next steps. Any student who was admitted to the University of Louisville without test scores on file or who does not meet the minimum math and/or reading requirements for their academic program may need to take the  Accuplacer . The Accuplacer is a course placement test given by the College Board that academic advisors will use to place the student into a math or English course. As a reminder, UofL does not accept KYOTE scores to be used for course placement, and KYOTE scores will not replace a student’s Accuplacer requirements.   Greetings from the University of Louisville, We have two great events for any of your students interested in a future in the health professions: Virtual Public Health Preview Day :   Encourage your students to join us on  Saturday, Jan. 24  for this  virtual event  exploring the School of Public Health and Information Sciences (SPHIS). Attendees who have not yet applied to UofL will  receive a fee waiver to apply for a public health degree at UofL for Fall 2026. UofL Public Health Virtual Preview Day Registration Link   PreHealth Symposium :  Encourage your students to join us on Saturday, Feb. 14  for this  in-person event  at the UofL Health Sciences Center.   Greetings from the University of Louisville, The application deadline for our competitive and mentored scholarships and programs -  Monday, Dec. 1, 2025  - is fast-approaching! Please start your competitive scholarship and program application process now to make sure you have time to collect any additional application materials, such as letters of recommendation and essays. The student-involvement resume is an important part of a student's scholarship application. We recommend reviewing our  resume requirements and scoring rubric .   University Housing The Application is OPEN!  New Cards Orientation New Cards Orientation registration will open for all students on February 20th. This will be for students starting in the Summer 2025 or Fall 2025 terms. Session dates will begin in May and go throughout the summer. Say Yes to the Ville The Priority Application runs November 1 through April 1. If students apply after the priority deadline, they are still guaranteed a space on campus, but their housing preferences may not be considered. Students can view the housing timeline to review deadlines and selection periods. Upcoming Dates and Deadlines   October 15 - 11:59 pm EDT Honors Early Action Deadline - all materials must be submitted in a student's application Gateway November 1  Housing Application Opens (more on housing below) November 2 Cardinal Preview Day - our largest open house of the year! Students   can register here . December 15 - 11:59 pm EST Honors, Competitive Scholarship, and Mentored Scholarship Deadline - all materials must be submitted in a student's application Gateway Seal of Biliteracy : Our College of Arts and Sciences has approved students who earn a Seal of Biliteracy through their high school to have their foreign language requirement waived (if their intended major requires a foreign language). This does not award any credit hours to the student, but does allow them to free up space for electives. Currently, this is only for students in the College of Arts and Sciences. Below are some key updates about UofL. We are excited to announce the J.B. Speed School's  new state-of-the-art building , where engineering students will have classes, tutoring, meetings with counselors, research labs and more. University of Louisville Financial Aid Upate

  Greetings from the University of Louisville. We want to share with you important updates concerning the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We recently learned there will be additional delays from the U.S. Department of Education, and we won’t receive student data until  mid-March at the earliest . We want to work with your students to help make this process as stress-free as possible.   If they have not already done so, please encourage your students to  file the 2024-2025 FAFSA  as soon as possible to maximize the amount of aid they can receive from UofL.  We will alert students and families when we receive the FAFSA results. Again, we will not receive data until mid-March at the earliest. Your students will receive a confirmation email when we have received their FAFSA data and are working on their financial aid offer.  We anticipate sending financial aid offers to admitted students within 3-4 weeks of receiving the FA...
