UK Update November 2025

Happy November from the University of Kentucky!

Here’s what’s new and noteworthy this month at UK:

Admissions Reminders

Early Action Deadline*: December 1, 2025

Students who apply by this date (and submit all required materials) receive priority consideration for:

  • Admission decisions
  • Lewis Honors College
  • Academic and competitive scholarships
Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, if they have not already, for maximum consideration for academic scholarships. Scholarship awards are limited and will be offered pending early application and availability of funds.

Regular Decision Deadline: February 15, 2026

Students applying after the Early Action Deadline will be considered for undergraduate admission, but cannot be considered for the Lewis Honors College or academic and competitive scholarships.

*Reminder: To qualify for Early Action, students must submit their application, fee or waiver, official transcript and ACT/SAT scores (if applicable) by December 1, 2025.

Admitted Student Updates

Once a student’s application is complete, most will receive an admission decision within two to three weeks. Admitted students will get a printed acceptance booklet in the mail (always a fun moment!) and can also view the digital version online for their next steps.

Lewis Honors College

Students applying by the Early Action deadline can also apply to join the Lewis Honors College, one of UK’s most selective and enriching academic communities. Decisions regarding Lewis Honors will be released in mid-February 2026.

Being part of the Lewis Honors College is a distinguished achievement that offers a community of curious, high-achieving scholars who think creatively, lead with integrity, and strive to make a difference in Kentucky and beyond.

LHC benefits include:

  • Dedicated Honors advisors
  • Small, discussion-based courses
  • Personalized support through the Honors Center for Personal Development
  • Priority room selection in the Honors Residential Experience
  • Priority registration
  • Honors-specific education abroad opportunities
  • Leadership roles within the Honors community
